Jean Prominski

Jean Prominski is fascinated with how our behaviors can shape our environment, and how our environment can prime our habits. Through the use of color, pattern, and intention, the idea behind the work she makes is that it will work for you, to declutter and harmonize the energy of the space you put it in. Her artwork is charged with Reiki energy to aid in the Feng Shui of the home. In this particular body of work, the “Color To Declutter” series, each of the pieces is connected with a word. The crystalline shapes in this series are inspired by the work of Dr. Masaru Emoto. He did extensive experimentation with exposing water to a variety of words and environments, and freezing it to see how the water crystals would form.

Jean weaves together home organizing, energy healing, and artwork. She has received her Masters of Fine Art from Rhode Island School of Design, Bachelors of Fine Art from University of the Arts (formerly Philadelphia College of Art), and has done extensive energy healing training with Daisy Thompson in Seattle, WA. Selected exhibitions include the Sonoma Valley Museum of Art (Sonoma, CA), Google Headquarters (San Francisco, CA), Rhode Island Convention Center (Providence, RI), Soil Gallery (Seattle, WA), Moore College of Art (Philadelphia, PA), 175 Gallery (Seoul, Korea), and the McLeod Residence (Seattle, WA).
