Jared Tolson

My name is Jared Tolson, and I am a studio potter. My journey with clay began during my junior year of high school, and I have been hooked ever since. Following high school, I refined my craft in various studios across the West, following the seasons from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff to the Kimball Art Center in Park City, Sheldon Jackson College in Sitka, and the University of Oregon in Eugene. I also spent several formative years apprenticing under my uncle at his studio in Northern California.

For 18 years, I operated my own studio in Phoenix, Arizona. During my time in the "Valley of the Sun," I produced and sold utilitarian ware at farmers markets, First Fridays, and Art Detour. My work has been featured at Changing Hands Bookstore, Made Art Boutique, and Practical Art, as well as various holiday showcases.

I recently relocated to Carlsbad, New Mexico, where I have become a member of the CAAA and The Artist Gallery. I am eager to get back into the studio, get my hands back in the clay, and begin a new chapter of production.
