Jim uses digital cameras and has studied digital imaging post-processing extensively. He is also a photography instructor having taught basic camera operation, photo composition and technique. Jim’s photos are taken with professional Nikon cameras and lenses to produce high quality images.
Jim’s goal is to produce fine art photographs that capture his vision of the moment. He captures the image, processes and prints it in order to reproduce his interpretation of color, texture, form, tone and feeling. Jim usually prints his own photos but sometimes he uses high quality commercial labs for special printing needs. Jim’s desire is for his photography to express a sense of place and emotion as he experienced it. Jim’s photography is a journey through different times and places that he hopes to share through his fine art prints.
